F W H milling jack
I came into this milling machine jack on Friday. Closer inspection gives clues to its origin. Has anyone else come across one of these?

At a guess I would say it might a trade college project from around the 60's and 70's.
The letters maybe the initials of the student who cast it.
When I was at college as an apprentice they had a small foundry and I was always jealous of their projects like mini anvils and the like, that the foundry apprentices
made and were allowed to take home.
For me as a boilermaker, a fabricated rolled segmented pipe bend didn't seem all that useful.

I lean towards it being a Hercus part too, just because the jack screw is not a standard V form. While not impossible, I would have thought that most places would not have access to a suitable tap, and unlikely for a simple apprentice project.
