Recently while searching on Ebay I came across a seller who was selling hundreds (if not Thousands) of original archived photographs which were obtained from the Detroit Times Newspaper. They are original photographs dated back to the start of the last century. I typed in Henry Ford (my interest is Vintage Fords) and the search came up with this photograph taken in 1927 of Henry Ford and Edsel (his son) posing along side the lathe Henry bought in 1894 and which was in reality the start of the mighty Ford empire. It just goes to show that the old saying that from small Acorns big Oak trees grow.
The second picture shows a copy of the newspaper cutting dated April 1962 when it was published in the Detroit Times. This newspaper cutting is pasted to the back of the photograph along with other notes and information.
Interestingly enough this photograph arrive on the same day I purchased my Hercus.
Although this is not a Hercus (but appears to be of similar size) I'm sure others will find it of much interest.
