    Default Hercus Model O

    Hi all,

I'm new to the forum so hoping to get to know you all . I have a Hercus Model O milling machine Serial Number: OLM-466. When I bought it there were no attachments just a few odd cutters. I have started to restore the old girl and I found a new single phase motor and reversing switch on e-bay that meets the original specs. I'd be interested in any attachments such as the vertical milling head if anyone comes across one. I am also looking for a model A 9" lathe Cheers

    Default Welcome

    Hello Dotz,

Thanks for joining us. You will find the little No.O to be a useful and versatile tool.
Good luck with your search for the vertical head. If you do find one, make sure you pick up the spindle nose mounted drive gear and arbor that goes with it.

    Bob.

    Default Thanks Bob

Thanks for the advice I have taken note . Perhaps an odd attachment may turn up some time, if not I'll just enjoy the horizontal aspects of milling. Cheers
