9" Hercus Craftsman Change Gears
Hi All,
I have a 9" hercus craftsman lathe [metric] which did not come with any change gears, Can anyone tell me what gears came with the lathe originally.
Regards Marc.

Is the lathe an A model if so I would take a guess and say that it would of come with the Standard gears for an AM.

Hi Pipeclay,
It is an AU model with a norton gearbox and metric leadscrew, do these come with extra change gears and if so what gears would they be.
Regards Marc.

Not knowing anything about the Craftsman this information could be useless.
An Model AM comes with 20,50,45 and 80 tooth change gears as standard.
Other gears are required if you wish to cut Imperial threads on your Metric Lathe.
