The sprocket i chose was a Yamaha XS400 1981 the specs said the spline width was 6mm and my shafts spline was 5mm so i thought it was going to be loose but when i test fit the sprocket yesterday it fit perfect a very suitable tight fit very happy with it
When i marked out the motor and planetary gear box mounting plates i had used a texta and scribed a line with old vernier calipers so i drilled the two main shaft holes but the wd40 cooling the hole saw had rubbed off my texta marks so i need to measure everything again drill the small mounting holes than cut the piece in half and start welding20210821_124849.jpg

This is one side of the trailer mover partly done it may or may not be the right side up i will decide when i get the wheels i may try source a couple steel wheels off aold mini moke
That steel is 10mm thick and the axle is 39mm diameter so super duty those are massive flange bearings those are temp bolts all i had m12 the flange bearing takes 16mm bolts
I'm not decided weather to use my plates on the single 16mm steel it needs to be cut in half and welded onto the top cap of the mover but i may use 2 flange bearings instead for the front motor axle just means the whole movers chassis will be around 120mm wide
Drilling was so exciting... 1 hour drilling a 45mm axle hole thru 10mm steel, 35-40 brain fulled moments trying to drill 4 18mm hole saw holes than i whipped out the 12mm sharpened it and drilled those 4 holes in 5mins...
