As for the trailer sliding i can rig up some clip on wheel chocks that lock under the wheels if something failed and the trailer ran free
Im not to worried about the traction if i have 2 wide flat surface ride on mower wheels

Let me see if i got this right,
If i run this motor/worm gearbox the output will be 150nm @ 15rpm now lets say i attach a 50mm sprocket to the output shaft on the worm gearbox than i drive a 260mm sprocket attached to the wheels thats a futher ratio of 5.2-1 so 5.2 x 150nm = 780nm

You mention you don't want to leave the boat out the front, that indicates that it is possible to leave the boat out the front if needed.
At the moment costs for your mover could be in excess of $1000.00 and that's not even for a proven method.
Are you going to have the boat insured?
Aren't you at present only renting?
Have you considered a mounting plate attached to the roadway at your property with a chain and also using wheel clamps to secure the trailer, this would be a much cheaper alternative and less chance of physical injury and damage to your boat or the rental property if it all goes belly up.

Hey Pipe it will get knocked off or vandalised or even a car might crash into the boat everythings a possibility all 3 are very likely tho, i had 2 guys come to my house and suss out my boats when i wasonly 12 months into the rebuild im now 3.5 years in to the build and pretty much finished too much effort gone into it to let someone steal it
I live on a main road none of my neighbors park on the road during the night due to the wreckless people doing 80-100kms in a 50 zone

This is my mini mover it actually moved my whole rig today 800kg hull, 350kg trailer 200kg engine it moved the trailer forward about 2 foot than the trailer wheels hit the concrete driveway and the little motor lost traction even with me standing on the drawbar that little wheel just kept spinning so the only down fall for the mini mover 2 is its wheel size and no traction
The plan is to dismantle the motor , wheel and planetary gearbox and build a new frame for it to mount to something i can weld like a steel frame
I will weld together a frame for a 8 or 10 inch pneumatic wheel something very wide i will let the pressure down and bolt the mini mover onto the frame than pump up the pneumatic tyre im hopping the pressure between tyres gives enough friction rubber to rubber it will work
The torque will be geared up or geared down however u see it from the tiny 6inch tyre to 8 or 10 inch tyre

It may have less pressure per cubic centermeter but it will have more surface area for traction so its a trade off
I may sell my mini mover and put the money towards the worm gear drive and dc motor

Hey guys here is my driveway its 13 degrees at the bottom 8 degrees all the rest of the way up
Going by manufacturers weights the hull weighed 800kg in 1960's, the engine weighs 182kg + oil, the trailer weighs around 350kg that does not include fuel 60 litres and fishing gear, anchor + chain etc..
Im tempted to buy one of these two

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/19344254...wAAOSwU15hFcUE
Remember those are 3000lb and 4000lb winches at the winch so they are geared for more torque at the wheels
I would love this rolls royce mover but cant afford it

Do yourself a favour and measure the ball weight, first on a flat surface and then on the angles that match the maximum angle of your driveway, uphill and downhill.
I suspect the issue is not the weight that you are trying to move but is all to do with the traction available.

Yeah its traction i need, my ball weight is 113kg even with my 92kgs sitting on the drawbar doesnt change the little wheel just spins
Tonight i disassembled the mini mover it works on a shaft inside of a shaft it should be easy to attach a sprocket to the output shaft and drive a wheel off a big sprocket for even more torque
Its quiet simple 2 relays 1 big shunt 5 wires

I started getting my materials together i have 10mm flat bar for the frame the mover should weigh around 40-50kgs finished so that weight plus the drawbar weight of 113kg im hopping is enough
The drive shaft will be the original splined shaft from the mini mover 2, the axle im undecided on size as of yet it can be from 25mm to 70mm radius the axle will run through 2 bearing pillar blocks, sprocket on the axle will be welded, the wheel hubs will be welded for overall strength it wont be servicable unless i cut the axle but i would prefer to weld everything rather than rely shaft frictions with quick lock products or small shaft keys
These are the wheels im going to order https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/17481369...UAAOSwsydg1Col
The chassie will likely be 140mm wide, 250mm tall, 400mm long it will have a standard 50mm pipe eelded and angle braces on the base i havent designed a 3rd and 4th free rolling wheels i am hopping the mover stands up on its two main traction wheels once in the jockey wheel holder

Thisis a drawing of how its going to go together thebuild will start tomorrow if i can get cutting disc, if the mini mover 2 motor and planetary gearbox isnt string enough i will bolt a 10,000lb winch with a sprocket on it

I got it marked out ready for drilling the offset was a bit tricky to work out where to drill
The mini mover 2 had a 8.3inch drive wheel @ 494/1 gear ratio and it moved at 10rpm
I have picked out my sprockets and there in the mail the front sprocket is 75mm diameter the rear axle sprocket is 234mm diameter i went with 5/8 pitch or 530 pitch chain
Im not sure how the ratio goes but its output at the front sprocket is 494/1 ratio than once it goes back to my 234mm sprocket it futher reduces 3/1 ratio so im thinking i should have a ton of torque but its going to move at around 2 meters distance per minute
With the 494/1 ratio than 3/1 ratio on top my motor braking should be huge i'd imagine
If im wrong on calculations please correct me guys
