I had a re-read of that thread - I was amazed at how many other tipping trailer designs there were. I like the simplicity of the axle-pivot idea, the lighter-weight as there's not subframe required, and the fact that you can use the power of the tow vehicle to help tip it - the design with the roller and curved guide for tipping looks particularly interesting, albeit a bit more complex.
My current trailer works fine, but with a heavy load, even in the lowest gear on the winch, it is a bit of work getting the thing started, although it does get easier as it goes up.

Yeah you have to be able to get an idea from that thread.
I was in my local steel supplies a couple of days back. I think I have more steel on my racks than he has on his! So it might be awhile off
