    Default boat trailer

    hi i just bought a boat trailer for my tinnie (13ft with a 30hp not real heavy) and it does not have suspension is there any disadvantages to not having suspension?

    Fotos always help.

    The fact that the only suspension you have is the tyres, not good in my opinion, especially at highway speeds.


    Recon every time you hit a bump in the road it would jar the ##### out of everything.

    Wont be going on the highway just to and from the boat ramp that's only like 1km away

    Yup, have to agree with that. And if it's a tinny then it's virtually a one piece unit where nothing can come loose.

    Hey if thats all u are doing with it then, well theres definitely no need for springs. Hardly worth belting along at 100 kays for 1 km of travel.

    As the man says, dump some air from the tyres if its a bit rough in the ride.

    The trailer i have is very similar to this one . But made out of 50mm pipe

    OK so i just went ahead and put springs on the trailer just to save time and money down the road. and just seeing what are some things i should look for before i take it to get rego ? any tips ?
