Default Tipping Trailer Pivot Pin & Bush Supplier Req'd

    Hi,
Do any of you guys know where l can source a tipping trailer pivot pin assembly kit from?
I'm looking for the body subframe to chassis connection and it should be suitable for a 2000kg load (Even though the trailer GTM will be 2000kg it will be overloaded with wood etc on the farm l'm sure.

    Thanks

I'd use a inch round bar with heavy inch pipe.

I wouldn't. Pipe will be too light in the wall plus will have quite a pronounced seam internally..
Any machine shop will turn you a couple of bosses fron some hollow bar for minimal cost. Add some 1" BMS round bar and you are away. Get them to add a couple of grease nipples and it will be even better. Make sure that you tell them that you will be welding the bosses so they machine them a little oversize to allow for shrinkage.
You could also talk to the supplier of your hydraulic ram as they will typically have access to such items.

The earthmoving industry has quite a range of pins & bushes for various applications, some are even greasable.
Too many projects, so little time, even less money!
