    Default Cheap good quality welder

For anybody living around the Fairfield, Sydney area there is a very good bargain on Ebay.
Don't let old or vintage put you off.Its an Abel welder which I remember were quite good. Even if the external cables were buggered ,its still areal bargain at the price. Its got a day left on it until it closes

I like the throttle control for amps adjust. I would rig up a foot control so I could adjust amps on the fly.

The 65% duty cycle at 130 amps is impressive. I ran my Abel at 130 amps for about five minutes once and it never even got hot.

This box probably weighs about 40kg so I guess a shoulder strap isn't an option.

You can have a shoulder strap. You just need big shoulders. The Fronios weigh 33 kgs and has a shoulder strap.

If some one can score that little machine for the few dollars wanted its going to be a fabulous buy. They don't make em like that any more and it will likely outlast it owner.
