    Default Saxozip plasma cutter

Hi folks. I'm new here I have a Saxozip portable plasma cutter with a built in air compressor. It is an excellent little machine, but I believe it is no longer being made, hence I am having difficulty obtaining consumables for it. The white skirt I need in particular. A search on the net has not been productive
In Australia previously the part number for the white skirt was 0408-9272 then w000260605 and most recently w000302630 through Independent Wholesale Welding Supplies (don't sell direct to the public), but their outlets seem to no longer list them
It has the following data on a plate at the rear . CN13803 Rivoli -Verona Italy R.1.00378930234 and also Saxozip R 358515.
Any help appreciated, even an over seas supplier, and in desperation I wondered also about whether a different cutting torch assembly could replace the existing to access more readily available consumables

    Kind regards
    Trevor

    You were close.
    IWWS catalogue:
    https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...ev5-Zh499ATYIb

    IWWS distributor list:
    https://iwws.net/main/?c=sb-plugin-g...&per_page=1000

Get on the blower and tell 'em what page of the catalogue, and the IWWS part number and description, and rob's your father's brother etc. If you get no joy from one supplier, cut your losses and move to the next.

I've found IWWS are good for the 'weird' stuff. Particularly when I've got NFI what it's off, and where it's from.
Unless you are shopping for a big brand and known retailer, chances are the consumable supply has a finite lifespan. Binzel, Miller, PCH, Trafimet, Hypertherm, Thermal Dynamics, etc.
There could come a time where it's more economical to put a new torch on it than continually chase parts for an old one.

Default Fitting a different torch to the SAxozip?

Thanks very much for the help C_K. Is it possible another type of torch could be fitted to the unit ? That would simplify the problem. Also as it's fairly old, I imagine tourch design may have gotten a little better.

Many have a 5/8" gas fitting for the combined power and compressed air supply. Check the type of thread you have and compare to what's out there. Realistically, the trigger interface to the machine could be cut and soldered to the new arrangement as needed. Duty cycle of the torch aside, if the nut screws on it should work.

The old nut connection was deemed a bit of an electrocution risk, so many have moved to a 'central connector' which is like a MIG gun fitting- brass centre lug bayonet, with circumferential pinouts for signal wires etc. All secure with a big plastic locking nut to draw the whole she-bang together.

IWWS boss says that one of the agents I asked already, definitely should have the stock according to his records, so I'm likely to be good to go in the short term but ultimately will have to find a long term solution. Sounds like it's time for me to do a little disassembling and inspection to see what might be achievable. Thanks for all the advice, it leaves me feeling I will get somewhere eventualy
