    Default Cigweld 200 trigger spring

    Hi gents,
Has anyone fitted a stronger spring to their Tweco gun? I think its a No 1, from approx 2004.
I keep on accidently pressing the trigger, while moving into position.

I looked at a exploded parts diagram but couldn't even see any 'springs'.

I'll pull it apart on the weekend and see how it works.

I'm a Binzel guy... but if it's anything like the binzel triggers, they are technically 1 piece according to the parts books. You could either shim it to make the existing spring firmer, or find / mod any of the 1000 different styles of springs out there to make it work with more feel. The binzel triggers I play with are just plastic hinge style assemblies, so they won't take a super firm spring before they implode.

The easiest options would be to get some better / more dextrous gloves and be less clumsy. Eliot's Big red CRX gloves are worth a look if you are looking to upgrade. Been burning thru them of late.

    What ya mean?......lol

My gloves are fairly dextrous. Alot thinner than what we used to use.

I'll pull the gun apart and have a look.

They look nice. Will consider them if my clumsness doesn't improve...
    Thanks.

Depending on the work/position I often use a TIG glove on my gun hand, and a heavy glove on the other. Needs to be a longer cuff/gauntlet type of TIG glove though - the short ones don’t give enough spatter protection.

Need to be aware of what you’re wearing though - you’ll wake up pretty quickly if you grab a freshly welded part with a thin TIG glove.
