    Default Anyone near Cairns who can Tig aluminium?

    I'm on the road for the winter (in Vic)...
    Staying at my son's in Kuranda at the moment.
    In the process of fixing his car's injectors for him (black death...) I broke a hole in his aluminium rocker cover...
    It needs to be TIG welded. JB weld isn't an option..
    Anyone on this forum able to help me?
    My TIG in in Vic of course...
    The material is only about 2.8mm thick.

    Hello Joe. Try Rolf Smith at Aerosmith Welding down at the general aviation area at Cairns Airport. 0403403890 according to the phone book (Remember them?)

    Managed to get it welded beautifully by Nev from N.G. Propworks in Cairns.
    Great price and great service. Highly recommended for aluminium and SS TIG welding!
