Hi sembul,
Welcome to the MetalWork Forums.
We are mainly Australians with a smattering of members from all over the globe. I moved your initial post from General forum as it is welding themed and we have a Welding Forum.
To enable you to peruse the many facets of the Forum please do the following:
Goto the FORUM box in the top left hand corner and click on the tiny down arrow. This will provide a pull down menu.Select Forum Home from the top and click again.
A list of Forum pages to scroll down will appear.
I recommend you take the opportunity to read our Terms of Use which are our Rules and govern aspects of what can and cannot be posted in our Forum/s
The remainder are Forum topics, guides and help pages.
Sub Arc welding topics are very rarely discussed but hopefully some one will be able to assist. Lincoln Electric were leaders in the field when I retired and have extensive information on the process. I suggest contacting them for detailed and job specific information.
The link was removed as links are usually auto - moderated until the first ten posts.
Welcome to the Forums

Hi sembul
Some thing I should have mentioned earlier.
We can probably source the wire you need ,but you will hate the cost as it will be freighted from Australia. We are mainly Aussies on this Forum with a few international members.
I imagine you will have to look for the closest Italian based welding consumable suppliers as sub arc coils can be quite a weight and will affect freight costs. The coils I used were fed from a pallet and weighed a 1000KG. I sub arc welded throat bodies on valve bodies which weighed 5000kgs stripped.
We can't advise on overseas suppliers only those we have experience of.
Secondly if you are seeking information on anything its always best to supply as much background information of what your project is.
The job, the steel grade. The size.
The machine brand and model . It makes it so much easier. Is it flat welding or circumferential?
This will help your local supplier guide you to what you need.
