Yes, I submitted my modification details and they were approved.
In fact, my machine developed a fault with the motherboard that Deni and I went through trouble shooting and I ended up sending my machine back and promptly got a replacement. Obviously the fault had nothing to do with the pedal mod. So his world is reliable.
I'll send you my mod details by PM.
    Cheers, Joe

Hi Joe, and thanks for the prompt reply.
Deni has been great to deal with and I had dealt with him after I completed my course when originally investigating welders.
Thank you for your kind and generous offer, I will contact you via a PM.

Default Also have the AIG TIG 200P

Hi all, I also have one of these units, received it about 4 weeks ago form the March pre-orders from Australian Industry Group in Perth.

It's also my first TIG machine (hopefully my last as I'm happy enough with the results).
All good so far, done 90% aluminum welding with it.

I have been looking for a Australian forum to discuss settings for various jobs on this machine, this welding forum might be the best place...
I'll start a thread so this ones purpose is not diluted.

    Cheers,
    Martin

    Default Thread troubles ?

Guys I created a discussion/setup thread for this model TIG in this welding forum here and posted it. It's in the thread listing just fine, but I can't open the post text I wrote (or see the six attached images).
Anyone know why that would be ?

My login says I can post new threads and images...
I did query the admin but maybe somebody else knows what I've done wrong.

Yes that's what I found too as I added all the images, and then submitted. It was after that things went wrong.

Question, if you try open my new thread and reply, what happens (and is there any text in my post) ?

I found a reply from the admin in my email, seems it's was in moderation for unknown reasons.

However if currently if I try open my thread post I get this, so I'll sit on the issue till tomorrow and see if what goes on.

    Thanks

Themachine isnice and light and its small, the torch is very comfortable but has a weird connection, earth lead is very cheap, power cable to the machine is very thick, packaging was really good i only had one mark on the lid of the box, it came with a UWeld ball float regulator

Looks ok so far for a $600 welder

That's the same torch as on the 200P, a WP-26 seems to be the industry name for that size.

I bought this accessory set linked below for the torch, which turned out to be very good quality for the cheap price. I use the gas lenses and cups all the time.

Long term I think I buy a WP-9 size torch for the TIG, I'm finding the WP-26 awkward for the small stuff I seem to be welding.

This is my 3rd ac/dc tig both previous models have had the 26 size torch, for me i cant run my welders on a trolley so my torch cables run from my shoulder all the way to the ground standing its abit of weight pulling on the hand piece

For my dc welding i have a little 17 i think size torch its a beauty very light to hold way lighter than the 26 torch, i have never used a size 9 but can imagine how light it would be

I may be tacking a job together using the AIG tig in the next few days so i'll see how it goes

Maybe I should try the WP-17 first then if it's significantly lighter. Do you know if the power/gas fitting inside the 26 torch handle is the same on a 17 ?
If so I could just buy a head and handle.
