    Default cheap foot TIG controller

Folks, I've been keeping my eye on ebay for a foot controller for my tokentools tig. Today I noticed they were new at close to half the price from eBay Australia Shop - Arcindustry Welding Equipment: DC TIG Welders, AC DC TIG Welders, Welding Carts so grabbed one . Also noticed that the had Alusync welders new at less than half price too (well half ticket price anyway).... almost makes me want to buy another one !

Usual disclaimer... I don't have any affilliation with this company, do your own research, etc. etc.

Well.. I had a chance to try out the foot controller yesterday... 1st time ever, so took a bit of getting used to.

One tip I can pass on is to make sure you set your down slope to zero on your welder. At first I was tapering off the current nicely at the end of the weld using the foot controller, then once the arc clicked off, the downslope would kick in and light the weld back up! So I'd get a little pimple at the end of the weld until I figured out what was going on.

    Cheers

Nice one Mick. Im yet to grab a foot control for my token welder but would do it if I was going to be doing heaps of aluminium. Good to know there are compatible units out there for a good price.
