I am in the process of buying a Hercus 9" lathe for the sole purpose of stripping it down and selling it for pieces
It is a ex School Lathe and comes with the factory cabinet
If anybody is interested here is the price of the parts
Cabinet $200
Tailstock $90
Motor $75
Top Crosslide $20 no Handles or dials as they are missing

Bottom crosslide $25 There is no Handles or dials as they are missing

Model A Gearbox with complete side apron and worm shaft $175

Mounting bracket and complete top pulley assembly $125

Tapered roller bearing headstock less back gear and tumbler assy $175

4 jaw chuck and backing plate $150

There is also bits and pieces that I have not mentioned
if you are interested in buying any of these parts please email me so as I can see If there are enough people out there who need parts for their lathe The lathe bed is very rough but still useable but I would have to check to see how bad it is

As I live in Croydon Victoria 3136 pick up is preffered but postage or courier probably can be arranged
I am buying this lathe just so that the 75% of the NON WORKING lathes parts will be available
so email me and depending on the response I will go ahead and buy the lathe
But please once you have commited your self the sale must go through as I am making very little on these parts and have worked out to the best of my knowledge a fair price just to get my Money back

so please email me at [email protected]
If you think the parts are to dear please let me know as I am just selling to get my Money back if I sell the above parts

all the best Derek
