Where are all the good tradesmen?
They are up here in Central Queensland in the Bowen Coal Basin earning up to $120k per annum dependent on the hours put in.
Its almost impossible to get tradies of any sort locally in Mackay. Our school lost a teacher to the mines. He walked into a job driving a 200 ton Tonka toy and earns $90k a year - 4 days on and 4 days off.
The whole thing is way out of perspective.
