Hi all,
Here's my problem. I am replacing a broken motorcyle mirror which threads into the clutch handle assembly. It's an M10 FINE thread. I have been given a nice mirror which is M10 COARSE threaded. I'd like to either buy a male-female standoff with a 10mm fine male thread and 10mm coarse female thread. If this type of thing isn't available, could you advise what size drill bit I'll need to drill the handle assembly before tapping it and inserting an M10 coarse helicoil?

Thanks a lot guys.
Phil, Dublin.

Gday Phil, wouldn't the helicoil set have a recommended drill size for the M10 coarse helicoil tap?

You're right Sean, it just took a wee bit of googling to find it. I ordered a free EZ-LOK sample from the states, hopefully they send 2 and I'll have myself an almost free fix! Thanks for replyin mate and g'day from the northern hemisphere!
