6040 all-in-one trolley

Gents,
I've had a 6040 for a few years and always had it sitting on an old school desk.

I've just got myself a floor standing 9060 which will sit it the 6040's place.

Thinking I'll keep the 6040, as I won't get much for it and it might still be useful....I may even use the 9060 to make new parts for it...dunno....
Thinking I'd like to move it and the PC to a trolley, so its all together and somewhat mobile.

At this stage, the plan is to stand while using it, probably have the router at lower chest height, mount the controller and PC on shelves underneath.
Maybe have the monitor, mouse and keyboard mounted on one end. A nice neat package....

Been looking for inspiration via google but nothig has popped up.
Has anyone here done anything similar?

Have a mig and drop saw so can cut up square tube to fabricate what I think I need.....

I saw one in Perth , 8 years ago, before I bought mine, but the pics I took cannot be found...grrr.
Not sure the gentleman is still into CNC.

Hi Steve,
Is there any chance that you might flesh out the 6040 / 9060 thingies out just a bit better.
Some of us (and me), may be just a little bit unsure of what you are speaking of.

Me thinks it is something to do with placing the tooling for a cnc machine where all the tools are handy- a place for everything and everything in its place.

None of that nonsense at my place- nothing in its place- other than where I left it.:((:((:((

Sorry Grahame,
I am referring to the generic names given to cnc routers. A 6040 has a cutting area of 600 x 400mm. 9060 is 900 x 600mm. give or take.
6040's are benchtop machines. 9060 can be either.

Hi Steve, I did something similar, made from 19mm construction ply, it's no longer being used for it's intended purpose, couldn't get my head around it:((. Just used for storing crap on now!
Will take a pic of it next time I'm there.
From memory it has a 50mm deep drawer for the cutters, tools etc, just under the shelf for the CNC, then another 2 drawers.
On the right hand side, is space for the monitor, there was to be a cover there, but gave up on it all, a slide out shelf for the keyboard and mousse, then space for the tower and the magic box that controls the CNC, and then another drawer under that for anything that I didn't want SWMBO to see:D.
The whole thing is on castors, so that it's easily moved around.

I might end up buying a plastic cart and then 'tweaking' it. Will have a look on weekend.

I'm lending towards a small work bench on wheels. A local racking comparge sells these with wheels.
Shortest is 1500mm which is a bit longer than I really want, but more room is better than less, I reckon.

Like I said, it's just a collection point for crap, to lazy to put it away properly. SO, yes, I do need to get rid of it.

If you keep an eye on the roadside, you may find a suitable set of drawers to install on the bottom shelf, mainly to store the Bits'N'Pieces we tend to collect to go with the associated piece of machinery/tool, spanners, collets, cutters etc.
