Hi all. I'm picking up a Sheraton Model A Conquest this week, and I'm preparing the spot in the garage. Can anyone tell me the width and length of the lathe? Rough guesstimates will do.

I'm looking forward to the adventure of getting to know the machine and a lifetime of learning. Thanks.

Hi and welcome. A Sheraton Conquest on its stand is 1250 x 650 x 1150h

Where did you manage to find one? They are quite rare. Is it a metric model or imperial? Please post pictures!

Kind regards

Matthew

Fantastic, thanks for that Matthew.
I had been stalking gumtree and facebook marketplace for a while and was checking many times a day. I was lucky to be the first responder when an ad came up on marketplace. The seller told me later that it generated much interest.
Pick up is tomorrow. Pictures and more info to come. Cheers, Vic

As promised, here are some pics of the lathe.
Bought from a very helpful and friendly guy. Luckily he had a block and tackle to drop it straight onto the trailer. And luckily again I had a couple of beefy guys to help carry the beast up steps to the back yard garage.
Now to clean, lubricate, setup, and buy some startup tools.

The guy asked me if I had ever used a lathe before, I said no.
He asked me what I was going to do with it.
I told him I was going to turn large round objects into smaller round objects.
