What are some ways to reduce chatter when boring out a deep hole on a Lathe?

Increase or decrease feed rate.
Increase or decrease surface speed.
Use the largest boring bar.
Reduce the nose radius of the tip.

It would be cheaper to wrap some plumbers solder wire around the bar.

Or use some sheet lead and some (thin) BluTack. Yes, that does work.
