Anyone have a source for a set of the 'slotted spanner bits" for removing the slotted retaining nuts on the end of the ball crank handles (imperial 1/2", nut diameter, not thread size)

A search of ebay comes up with 20,000 screwdriver bit hits LOL

With reference to BaronJ 's post. If your spanner /screwdriver is the same that he is talking about?

Are you close to a Bunnings shop ?

They have them ,albeit in a set of bits.

There's at least one in the set and the remainder of the flat bits could be ground to custom sizes.For something larger you may well have to make your own .

I think that using an unwanted bit from the set, an extra piece of steel-maybe from an old spanner (chrome vanadium) could be welded to it and then ground to size.
There's always a way to do these things.

Jaycar have this set cat: TD2035 $$16.95, Altronics Cat T2180 at Auburn have it for $13.95.
