Does anyone have a recipe for a ceramic cement for lining a small kiln for melting aluminium and or brass?

There may be cheaper sources, so also search for other pottery suppliers.

It should be possible to buy a bag of fireclay but if you want to just mix your own, a 1:1 mix of Plaster of Paris and sand can be used.
Not sure how long it would last though.
