I have a Steelfast Bandsaw and I am thinking about replacing the electric motor with a sealed 3 phase unit.

This bandsaw does not have the original motor, what is the original size motor used in these machines?

I have had three through my hands in recent months 2 with 1/2 HP motors and one with 3/4 HP motor.
