G'day all,
New to the forum, so sorry in advance if this Topic has already been touched on. I've been lurkin about this forum and others in search of information about ways to add a remote torch switch for the HF arc start to this machine. Now in the manual it says that a gas solenoid/ contactor kit was a factory option for machines wired for 3 phase. The accessories kit came with a gas solenoid, contactor and from memory I believe it was a 24v transformer. My question for you fellas and possibly ladies is, could anyone give me some advice on an alternative way I can wire this up with aftermarket parts, for now I just want to add the remote torch switch for the arc start, manual gas control will suffice for the moment. Could this be done with an external 24v power source wired in conjunction with a contactor and to thw HF on the machine. I spoke with cig about options as obviously the kit is now obsolete, and they weren't very helpful at all, but I understand they aren't going to give me advice on an aftermarket alternative. I hope I've given a good and clear enough description of what i want to do, and any advice is greatly appreciated... Thanks jordo

Possibly a long shot, but some time ago there was a link posted by Grahame Collins that took you to a page with many old manuals for machines such as yours. You may well find that the wiring diagrams are included and you could reverse engineer from there.

The murex welding manual site is timing out on my machine.

http://www.murexwelding.co.uk/mrxcon...ionmanuals.htm

Wether or not that means it does not exist anymore ,I do not know.

I found this this and it might help

No mention of anything above 205 AC/DCIt may be as close as your going to get.
Have you had look under the covers, sometimes circuit diagrams are are glued underneath them?

Thanks for your help mate, i did manage to find a download for my manual the other day, but it's pretty poor quality, though there is a bit of a wiring diagram in it. Its hard to make out .
