Need 2 pieces of bronze plate 175 x 175 x 3mm thick - nominal.

I am missing 2 port hole trim rings that have a 165mm OD finished diameter and seeing as they are apparently impossible to buy I'm prepared to machine them.

If anyone is set up to cast them that's acceptable too. I've a pottery kiln but don't want to bother as I haven't done it to date.

Also after a slug of bronze 100mm OD x 20mm thick, also nominal.

And yeah I mean bronze, not brass - these will be exposed to salt water, brass ends up a weak spongy copper matrix as the zinc disappears.

Any particular grade? My local supplier (Surman metals) has several to chose from -
https://www.surmanmetals.com/

They sell by the kg, so should be able to manage something for you.

+1 for surman metals. They will also cast material if they don't have a suitable stock size.

Probably PB1 from their list. I have found another source but they're being really sloooow getting back to me. Though at this time of year it's not surprising.

Back in Hobart now, where the temperature is a more civilised number. Debugging boat systems and making the fiddly bits (pin rails, belaying pins, battens) resumes. I have all that lovely *space* now.
