I couldn't buy batteries for this in my town, got the mrs to pick some up for me from elsewhere, they had differant numbers and were too small so i got some off ebay, yup still too small ?grrr
I had a bit of a search and it seems that similar calipers to this use a CR2032 battery, i have one here but i am not sure whether or not to put it in as it is a 3v batt and 1.5v is what the sticker on the back states, the instruction sheet only says to put a battery in it without mention of the type.
I think that the battery type on the sticker is wrong but before putting the 3v in i thought i would see if someone here could shed some light on this.

Cheers, shed

I just re read the instructions and it says to use a 1.5 volt batt but does not give a battery number.

I would put the 3v in, I don't think you'll smoke anything. although I notice Jaycar do stock 1.5v sr44s

Hi Shed,

I would say if the battery holder is the right diameter for a CR20xx then put it in ! Just bear in mind that this battery comes in three thickness’s.
The first number is the diameter 20 mm, the last two are the thickness, 32 = 3.2 mm, 20 = 2.0 mm and 16 = 1.6 mm.
The most common is the CR2032, which is used in computers for on board memory retention. They are all 3 volt batteries.
