Bought this today for $60, seems to be a bit of a different size for an offset 3-1/2”. Was that an alright price? Does anyone have any info on the old Dawns? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171126/c96ce908dacec70c7ef0a864ef1ddc68.jpg

Hi doily_grunge
Welcome to our Metalwork Forums.

You have purchased a very good well respected brand .I have never seen a 3 1/2" jaw model.

It is hard to tell from the colour but you might have a super duty model model which would be of ductile iron.Cast iron were maroon and super duty ductile iron was a teal colour.

Ductile iron vices are very ,very strong I am told..

Certainly well worth the money you paid for it.
Watch for a PM

Welcome, you have found yourself a bargain a standard grade is app.$300 new if it is a super grade it would be more around $600, Dawn would be able to tell you what you have
they are PIA to deal with and they take a lifetime to reply to emails if at all ( In My Opinion)
