As per the title, have been making some tongs, I have a few already but have decided I needed a few different styles that I have seen in a few catalogues and finding the 'bolt tongs' are quite useful for a wide variety of things other than bolts.

Also started on some of the double pickup style (curvy loopy ones) that Gameco have for sale that I have used before and found good for when making hammers and other jobs. the box jaw style is also really useful and not very difficult to forge.

Nice work. Hand done or power hammer?

Thanks Dsel,

the bottom of the two bolt tongs had the reins drawn out on a power hammer, but I dont have that luxury most of the time. otherwise all hand done.

That's what I thought. The worst part of making tongs is drawing out the reins. I guess that is why so any cheat and weld them on.

Yep the others are/will be welded on. I sort of chamfer the end, weld it, then forge it smooth, and it looks pretty good. The double pick up tongs still need drawing out more
