This Fordson tractor has recently arrived at the Laidley Pioneer Village in SE Qld, its interesting because the steel wheels upon which it stands are virtually unused.

The tractor was sold new in the area. The buyers wanted a rubber wheel tractor, but they had to take one with steel wheels at the time, the rubber wheels arrived later and were swapped over, the steel wheels were stored in a barn.

Some years later the tractor fell into disuse (broken conrod) and also went into a barn. The steel wheels were refitted at some point because the rubber wheels were sold off, and there the tractor stood for several decades.
