Anyone know what company made these and where - there seems to be a few in Australia so possibly locally made.

I have searched a few local and overseas sources for possible makers but no go.

This one is about 2 ton and was reputedly from the Gardens Island Naval Workshops

Reeve arbor presses look very similar to yours

Thanks for your comment - they do don't they - even to similar numbering system - mine is 52P - a smaller Reeve elsewhere on this forum has 51P on it - maybe the second digit is the tonnage??

From my recollection your correct in your thinking on the tonnage.

Thanks for all of your comments - from what I can see, there must be a connection between the company which made my press and the current Reeve company - maybe it was an earlier partnership and the "G" person withdrew or died off.
