I find that the same creeks cut the road even after so called upgrades have been completed .

Does anyone know why the so called design engineers do not raise the roadways above the highest levels which are normally encountered , only 1.2m most of the time .

This would then allow traffic to move normally after and during wet weather , instead we are all expected to sit around twiddling our thumbs or whatever .

Cost. Whilst your party of the world brings in billions of $ of taxes, heaven forbid we spend some of that tax $ there.

Cost it is.

Keep in mind that oft times whilst the water might only be a foot or so over the road that it can be half mile wide or so. Imagine what yer would need to funnel all that water under the road.
