Maybe not the same, but I bought 2 paper crunching packing machines for when we ran an online biz for shipping.

Turned out the machines were leased and needed to be returned to the "owners" (I.e. god cursed pirate scumbag banks).

Greys sorted it all out. Took a bit, but money was returned and wrinkles ironed out.

I'd email them and describe the problem. I've never found them unreasonable.

I do know many of the items as miss labelled and described, details are wrong. So I am sure your not the only person this has happened to. Just need to find someone who has tried to do something about it. I hope you get a satisfactory resolution.

I had that happen once - I took it back and explained the situation and they sorted it out for me.

Depends on what the erroneous description was to some extent. It used to be quite common with some auction houses to have 'someone' swap lot numbers, so when you came to pick up your goods they gave you a pile of clapped out rubbish instead of what was on the floor when you examined the lot.

Considering what Greys are making from both sides of the auction it would seem reasonable for them to take corrective action where the description either left out some fault or mis-described it - examples would be that the item did not in fact work, was missing some essential parts, had other obvious defects that were not in the description or photos of the item, wrong photos and such. If it is big/bad enough they may be liable under various Consumer laws as well as state laws affecting auction businesses.

Hi every one thanks for you thoughts.
illl give you some details. It my to date
most expensive grays purchase. It not
a metal working related item but a car
it was advertised as a 97 volvo s40t4.
Turbo. And the description said 1.9 turbo
engine. Ok what the car really is . Is a
bog standard 98 volvo s40.
The car as described is really a fantistic
little sports rocket ship.
So i thought when I picked it up that it was
Down on power but I could easly correct
that. As I started working on the car
i noticed it had the wrong size wheels
I couldn't see a inter cooler or turbo.
Some of the guys on oz volvo furum told

me it wasn't a t4.

Aaron,
Try fair trading in your state. The laws are plainly explained on their websites , and in my experience a quick call to them can sort out if there is an issue the seller should sort out. They deal with these things every day and can see the light through the confusion. In nsw, they even advocate for you for free.
