Found WIA 16tc 7016 a great rod, good to use...
Found WIA 16tc 7016 a great rod, good to use once you get used to it, WIA 18tc 7018 is also a great rod.
Have always used them with an engine driven 225 amp DC welder. -

Anyone know what is the correct oil for an older Hercus Lathe, and where it may be obtained.

Wouldn't go any smaller than a 115mm and stay with the better makes like Metabo Makita Hitachi etc. I always ask for the heavy duty tradesman model. -

issue.
They are stronger than a 4" , the extra 1/2" does make a difference and ease of
