Fuel lines done. Just need some extra clamps.
I tried to reduce my torch size to weld around the back of the tubes. What I needed was some of those stumpy cups. Anyway just got the job done.

Nah, the white wires contain red and black. I think I have 8 twins there, half of 6mm and 3mm tinned copper. Main power feed to console is 35mm.
Wiring will be terminated in a marked fuse box.

Its frustrating being so close. All this shed needed was some foil insulation chucked over the purlins and it would be fine. It's like being in a ceiling at the moment.

I'm guessing you will hear the water running out. I'm still in fit out stage so havnt put it to practice. The pump will be on a timer to do a full water change every so often.

Why not use the tig to tack? Saves cleaning any soot from the mig process.

Like Karl said 10mm is easily done. I have a 200 amp torch and yes it does get hot very quickly.

You should have a heap of small fabrication/engineer shops in Sydney to get off cuts from. They normally have bulk scrap for a small fee.

What size blade Mick? I have the 255mm 100t in my mitre saw. Still cuts clean.

My irwin blade has put up with 3 years of abuse cutting up to 10mm. Have never used any lubricant. Defiantly has paid for itself.

I don't think there's any contaminants at all, its just the process being used.
There's plenty of overheating but no cleaning action. Ac cycles so it continually breaks the oxide layer and heats....

No one said give up. You have to learn the basics first and thats machine set up and function.. Most welders will have the same basic functions of your previous machine whether or not they have 1...

How the heck are you going to do cast head repairs when you cant/or dont want to grasp the understanding of the tig controls. There is no one set and forget parameter for welding and no tig welder...

Finish will be left as it is. Was thinking of clearcoats like shark hide/Nyalic to keep it shiny but all requires maintenance.
It will still look pretty good with what Im about to do to it....
