I have one that is still running although it does require a fair bit of upkeep.
The bit that fascinated me was the rotary tool change. Most CNC lathe conversions don't have anything like that so it would have been interesting to see how (if?) it worked.

I think the first gen hercus tool hanger was made by buffaldi, very compact and nifty but only indexed in one direction.
A mate phoned up about it, talking to the seller (deceased estate) it went for $250 and to their knowledge it had been working.Quote:
