Hi, If anyone has a small milling machine vice for sale, I may be interested.
Can you perhaps specify what 'small' is? Typically 4" wide jaws are small ish - will that be too big? What size/model mill do you want to use it on?

For $60 including delivery you might wish to consider this.

It is a Emco FB2 Mill with this exact compound table fitted https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/M206.
i currently have a 6" Stanko Milling vice like this on the compound but it is a little too big https://shop.pagus.eu/machine-Access...s9vq2h6jbd3hm4
So it would probably have to be a 4-5" type vice
I thought I might chime in and say that I to have also purchased one of those vices.
My thoughts on it are:
It seems to be ok, it did, however, need some fettling, a good dissassemble, clean & oil. It was dirty and sticky/tight when I took it out of its box.
Jaws are nice and parrallel!!!!!
I had to shim the clamp screw bracket to get it to operate smoothly.
Fit and finish seem pretty good for a Chinese made vice. (I have seen a lot worse)
Its certainly better than the cheap small (70mm) milling vice that H&F sell
I have recently put it through its paces milling up a mounting plate and torque arm for an Ebike & it has not broken (Horizontal mill here and I was really pulling metal off at times)
All in all I rekon it's pretty hard to beat for 60 bucks
Hope this helps

I thought they were made in India?
Now I'm second guessing myself.... Maybe it was made in India??? I thought mine was Chinese, but I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time & definitely wont be the last time)
I just went to look for the box and paperwork but it seems I have thrown it out.
Please excuse me if I am in error.
Either way, wherever it was made I have found myself pleasantly surprised and happy with it!
Best regards
Matthew
