Your favourite tooling supplier
It was suggested that we have an easily accessible thread where people can list their favourite metal working tooling supplier.
Most of this information is already somewhere on the forum in one of the many threads about purchasing tooling, but to have it all in one thread would, I agree be rather handy.
So, here it is, a "sticky" thread, where you can put up a link to your favourite tool supplier and explain what it is that this supplier sells and perhaps what you find good about them.
I'll kick it off with a few where I have bought tooling, multiple times in some cases.
CDCO
Good range of tooling, Frank usually answers emails quickly. Best way to order for those not in the US is to send Frank an email with your requirements. He'll come back to you with a cost and the cost of postage. He uses the USPS Flat Rate boxes and is only too willing to work with you to fill it to weight/size capacity!
CTC Tools
Good range of tooling, mainly for milling. Good source for ER collets and chucks, wide range of arbors.
He appears to have set up another company as well
eBay My World - anytools2010
Be aware that it is usually cheaper to buy from his website than through his Ebay site.
Victor Machinery
Extensive range of taps, dies, drill bits, you name it. Postage tends to be a bit on the high side as they won't use Flat Rate boxes, but they will quote you. Each time they have quoted me a postage amount, the actual amount they charged was lower, eg last order they quoted me $US73 (almost didn't place the order, but needed it) final postage cost was $US50 (go figure!)
McJing
Local (Sydney) supplier, extensive range, quick courteous service, generally not as cheap as US suppliers.
Onlineseller
Very similar to CTC Tools, sometimes cheaper, sometimes dearer. Also ex HongKong with reasonable postage costs and quick delivery.
