Can anybody identify what milling machine this was made for? It is huge and heavy.

    Thanks in advance.

I have seen similar on early Parkinson or maybe Victoria mills, what taper does it take for drive?

I didn't turn it over. I won it at auction for $15. It weighs a lot probably 50kg. It seems the spigot poking out the top (the top in the orientation it is in the photo) is supposed to get support from the overarm on the horizontal mill.

Yeah they use the overarm for support I think these were used primarily on universal mills as they had to reach further out to account for the bulk of the knee turntable.

    Hi Eric,
It appears to be the same colour as my mill, so I reckon it'll fit, if not, I'll make it fit

    Maybe a Denbeigh.

Pretty sure not a Victoria, they have dovetail Z ways and the vertical heads clamp to them with no overarm spigot. I've got one in my pallet racking I've never fitted.

No not off a denbeigh, unless they made different heads than the one that I have.
