I probably won't buy from him again unless I absolutely have to. His prices are getting ridiculous lately as well/

The screws arrived today. They are nicely made, whether they are actually useful as insert screws will be revealed in time.

I've got some from the same seller (Ebay tells me September last year), and I haven't managed to strip any yet - haven't even felt close. Unlike some of the ones that came on the toolholders, which felt iffy every time you tried to undo them. They seem to be pretty good to me.

Thumbs up for Dale Tools. I ordered a set of boring tools. One was the wrong insert type.

The response was fast and without questions. I definitely did not lose on the deal.

I recently bought a few (Ok a lot.....) genuine Kant Twist clamps from Gameco in Sydney, great things they are, i won't be going back to G clamps any time soon. Great for welding as the screws and blocks are copper so spatter does not stick at all. Also great for gluing things as they tend not to make the objects you are gluing slide around nearly as much as G or F clamps.

All of mine are standard T handled ones, except for one round handled 1.5". I will be getting a few more of these as they are nicer to use then the T handles.

When I'm tapping threads I like to countersink the holes to just a smidgin bigger than the thread size, but I find it hard to judge that smidgin consistently when using an oversize countersink.

    These guys sell a set of 6 countersinks slightly oversized to suit 6 common metric threads, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20.

I got a quote from these guys for what is essentially a 12x36 lathe that looks very much to be the H&F AL335 (but with DRO) - I could be wrong on it being exactly that lathe, but their price was basically double H&F price. I was quoted basically $8000.

Going to be very, very hard for them to compete on that front then.

Photo was requested for my previous post - items no longer available but perhaps someone just wanted to see them.. ?

Anyway my feed back to the subject of this thread is avoid CTC like a plague. They ship the wrong parts then totally ignore you. I have Chinese speaking contacts so managed to dig a little more into it than most, but still couldn't get all my money back. The business is basically drop ship - the office in Taiwan are not "ctc", they just source and ship on request for some guy they don't know. The "owner" doesn't seem to visit or manage the situation at all. Quality of tools varies, some is good, others poor and some even seem to be used. It is unfortunately the way of business in that region, ie, quality control does not exist. The items in the attached photo are some of the better ones. I've ordered 2 times from them - never ever again.

I highly recommend Taiwan Tools. I know their website is a pain and they don't show many photos, but everything I've received from them was top quality, and their support is simply amazing. They don't list cutting inserts but they do stock and supply quality ones at a good price. If you order a holder, they will automatically ask what type inserts you'd like. I've ordered 3 times from them, would undoubtedly return.

Were is the best place in Australia, not fleecing the public, to buy HSS tool steel 10mm x10mm x 200mm and 12mm x 12mm x 200mm
as my latest horror shock (quote) was 4 times dearer than from the USA and Hong-Kong, apart from the fact Hong Kong had free shipping. so an extra saving:

I dont mind paying a little more here, but I wont be fleeced:
