Give it a week or so and they all wander in.
Just wandered in myself. Couldn't log on for the last couple of days and could not reset password. Not sure what was going on there. Thanks to Neil I am here now.
'Looks like all the trolls managed to make it over pretty quickly.' Now there's a trollish statement! About what I's expect though.
Are we checking our dates gentlemen?
Yes I am but the posts may well be useful to those out there wondering why they can't log in here on the Metal forum and finally may get around to doing something about it.
Admin don't know you have a problem unless you tell them.If you can't log in here try the WW side but give us all the details you can..
Grahame, Please accept my apologies for the stuffup on my post re "please identify this tool" as I have been unable to attach the relevant photos
I will try to find someone who can help me with this
Regards, Alf Scotting
Hi Alf,
If you go down to the bottom of a post there is a reply to thread button. Click on that and you will be presented with a window that you can type your message into.
I tend to add a title in the box above. Now scroll down and you will see a framed box marked "Additional Options". Scroll down a little further and you will see a box with "Manage Attachments" Clicking on that box will bring up another window. This window is where you can post your pictures.
First on your computer, place the pictures you want to post somewhere that you can find them, say a folder on your desktop called "pictures". Now when you go to the new window and click on add files it will change and ask you to browse. Click on "Browse" and you will get another window pop up that should show you where you are on your own computer.
Mine shows "Baron|Desktop" on my Desktop I have several folder that I keep my pictures in, one of them is "6x4 Bandsaw". So click on the folder that you used to hold your pictures.
Move the cursor down and you should see a thumbnail image of your pictures, choose the one you want and click on the "Open" button at the bottom. If you now look next to the browse button you should see the name of your picture. If you want to add another picture, just click on the plus sign next to the upload button and repeat the selection of the next picture. When you have finished click the "Upload" button and after a few seconds you will see the pictures added to your picture store on the forum.
At the bottom of that screen you will see "Insert in Line", clicking this button will place the pictures into your post. When this has completed just click "Done" and your pictures will be in your post.
That it ! Its taken longer to write this explanation than it takes to actually post pictures. I hope that it helps.
If the moderators are happy with this post it could become a sticky.
