Lathe pick up
Hi Team,
I am going to look at a lathe for a Mate on Monday. I recall there was one of the team who has a crane truck, not RC, does any one have a contact. Or can recommend a crane truck operator.
cheers
Bruce

In Melbourne I can reccomend paulx crane trucks, they are Bayside but good to deal with and turn up on time. Not riggers though so be there to do the rigging.

ACCO on WWF has crane trucks also, is generally very good at fitting into pick up schedules etc where pickups during business hours or over a limited time frame after an auction are involved. His primary interests are timber, woodworking, and his business, but he moved my shed (16m x 12 m x 6.5m barn) from Croydon to Alex 31/2 years ago without damage/issues etc. He is listed as a member here but it appears that he hasn't been onboard since MWF was hived of WWF some time ago, so it might be better to approach him via WWF if you have membership there.
There was a member here who specialised in decommissioning, relocating, and recommissioning machinery locally, nationally and internationally, but I believe that he left the forums a few years ago. However, from my understanding and memory, he employed transport companies for the actual equipment moves, so is probably not what you are seeking.I used to be an engineer, I'm not an engineer any more, but on the really good days I can remember when I was.

Timely that PaulX was mentioned - I saw one of their trucks last week and thought they looked capable and nicely set up.
Snapped this in case I happen to need it in the future.
