Depends upon how big your coolant tank is

Is this the only tool you will be using it in?
Are you intending to use soluble oil or straight cutting oil?
If only one machine 1 litre of soluble oil will last quite awhile , if using neat oil you may need 5/10 litres.

I also have the BS-5S and I'm quite happy with it. Every once in a while I have to square the cut up but it's a reasonably easy and quick job. In this regard I would assume it's no different from any other bandsaw. The swivel head is excellent as it saves dragging the whole machine around. When first bought I also bought bi-metals for it, I don't know what's happened since them for H&F not to carry them now. I now only use carbons, with coolant they do a good job and the blades last a fair while. Blades are only $13 from memory so not expensive to replace.

I'm not familiar with the swivel head bandsaws, but I have wondered if swivelling the head moves the blade further away from the vice jaws than swivelling the vice jaws on a non-swivel head bandsaw?
If so this may cause an issue when cutting shorter stock pieces.Cheers.
Vernon.

The BS-7DS takes a 93" long blade would any one know if a 93-1/2" blade would fit or not?

Shouldn't mater you should have enough adjustment.
