Default Bandsaw Continuously Variable Drive gearbox-what oil?

Hi all,I have dragged home a new to me 1970 Mossner Rekord SSF 420 Vertical bandsaw and need to know what gear oil to use.
The machine has 2 gearboxs, one conventional 3 speed box and a
PIV Stufenlose continuously variable drive to give a wide speed range.1_resized.jpgIMG_0011_resized.jpgIMG_0012_resized.jpg
On page 3 of this thread https://www.practicalmachinist.com/v...andsaw-288303/ it is reccomended to use a CLP220 oil.Does anyone know of an equivalent oil available here?
Does anyone have a copy of the relevant manual?
    thanks,Nick

    That's blackwoods for you...

There's this one as well https://redpoint.com.au/renolin-clp-...lubricant.html

In a home shop I can't imagine you'd need to change it often.

Dunno if its just my local Blackwoods, but could never get what I was after when I walked into their shop. Even the more basic stuff, so only go there as a last resort.

Hi Jatt,I know what you mean. The one and only time I went to the Adelaide Blackwoods, the teenagers behind the counter seemed horrified to see a living breathing customer actually walk through the door.Funny I was looking for hydraulic oil that time.Guy at Pirtek round the corner couldn't be more helpfull, even gave me some pig mat offcuts gratis

I used to think Blackwoods had no purpose in life for me - it seemed overpriced and aimed at large industrial customers who didn't care about price.

However, when I needed to buy a bunch of taper-lock sprockets and bearings, I created an account on their web site so I could see pricing, and discovered that these things were considerably cheaper than my local bearing suppliers. I ended up ordering and paying online, with delivery a few days later to my local branch.

Even tho I had an account with CBC I oftened checked pricing with their sister company BSC. ...(and it is the sister company as their invoices are the same..ie exactly same layout and font type etc..except different name)

It was suprising how many times CBC tried it on...by not giving a decent "trade" discount...so always check

I’ve been to Blackwoods on average about twice a week in the last month mainly for comp air line and assorted SS plumbing fittings and have to say they have really lifted their game since the mining boom went south. During teh mining boom their service and prices were rubbish. Since then service has been very good and this morning the assistant picked up I had some mismatched thread sizes which saved me a trip back. Even in comparison to online I'm finding their prices are very reasonable and quality is generally higher. Being able to browse and price on line with a half decent product finder and making sure stuff is in stock saves time too. I just walk in with a list of product numbers and they find most things really fast.

That just means they use the same software and haven't customised the layout, I've seen invoices from totally unrelated companies that look the same.

They might well be sister companies, but that's hardly a reliable indicator.

One of those closed up shop and kind of merged into the local fastener supplier. I called up and spoke to the guy who was now looking after that bit. He didn't sound too knowledgeable when I asked him for a price on a particular taper lock bush for a 25mm shaft. He sounded a lot more confident when he called back a while later saying that yep, he had a 25.4mm one sitting right there on the shelf.

Not sure if that was quite the right guy for the job.
