Thread: Metal master AL-356 Owners

Hi all I recently purchased a metal master AL-356v .Seems to run ok but the usual asian problems lots of swarf were it shouldnt be but you get what you pay for. My gripe is that the pinion gear for the table drive lost two teeth when I had a senior moment and allowed the auto feed to bottom out. This should have been prevented by the spring loaded ball clutch on the table drive releasing .But this dident happen as the assemblers screwed the bearings in that tight they didnt release.As it is the xmas break braised up the gear and re cut the teeth I will be haveing a talk with Machinery House
