Where to source B Belt Pulley from?
Trying to source a B belt pulley similar to the attachment. Total diameter is around 100mm and on the smaller step 70mm.
Would prefer 24mm bore, but smaller bore would be acceptable and can be bored to suit.
Anyone know if something like this could be bought off the shelf?

You can get 2step alloy...not sure about cast or steel.
CBC is your friend or any other bearing company.

Nothing at all, that motor is 0.75KW, doing an upgrade on the lathe to 1.1KW and would like to use that 0.75KW motor/pulley combination on a drill press.
Is there any issues at all with the alloy pulleys?

Search ebay. I replaced my lathe's driven pulley a couple of months ago with one similar to this:

From 2010 on a different forum. I've used the same system to make a 2 step pulley.

Alloy pulleys dont last as long as cast...but if you make sure you replace vee belt when it begins to show signs of wear it prolonges pulley life...A worn belt with cracks, not accurately aligned, too loose/too tight wear alloy pulleys much quicker.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I've checked out a few catalogues and emailed a local bearing company with the part number I am after. Only thing I noticed is that it seems 107mm is the smallest diameter available, I would have preferred it to be a little smaller say around 70mm. I'm only looking at single step pulleys at the moment, multiple steps might have to be a custom made thing.

I also like the DIY approach but sourcing a piece of 100mm bar stock could be difficult or at least not very cost effective. I need to find a good scrappy that sells to the public.

Hi Com, are you in a hurry for the Ally bar? Asking, as my supplier of Delrin also has offcuts of Aluminium Bar. Unfortunately he's now closed until early January.
Have you had a look on Ebay, as there are some available online?

Not really in too much of a hurry Kryn, though postage prices might make it uneconomical. I had a quick look on eBay and if I went that way it will end up being cheaper/easier to just buy something off the shelf.
