Thread: Tapping machine (another one)

High all,
I have had this Alfred Herbert No2 saftap for about 15 years. It is a nice piece of equipment, works well, has an adjustable clutch but no auto reverse. Not that that`s a problem as its easy to put the drill in reverse.

My question is dose anyone have any information about it, parts sheet or manual ?
I know one day it`s going to need a service so I am trying to find out about it.
I have searched the net several times in the last couple years but all to no avail. Several for sale but no information.

Hi Tony,

I'm afraid that I can't offer anything on "Alfred Herbert Saftap" ! I can only recall seeing one in its box at the Harrogate, North Yorkshire, Model Engineering Exhibition, one time ! Can't say I took any interest in it.
