    Default Amazon backdown

Amazon have decided that banning sales from the US site to Australia was not a great idea…….

    Thanks for highlighting this one

Will be interesting to see what this does to Amazon AU, I was looking a little while ago and the same items were on both Amazon and Amazon AU but on the AU one it was 2-3 times the price. The timing for the Black Friday sales in interesting, makes you wonder if it was something that was planned all along.

I banned Amazon from receiving my hard earned years ago when they made me register, hand over my credit card details and proceed to the checkout, only then to be notified that "we don't ship to your country" (Australia). I may be old and bitter, but it does go to show how easily brand loyalty can be destroyed before it ever began. Same went for iTunes when they wouldn't let me buy a Beatles song (f"crying out loud) for $1.60 ... "that song is not available in your region". It's been on the radio for 50 years guys.

Apparently it only applies to non-third party items so its not their full range. I suspect stuff already on the AUS site may not be accessible?
