Thread: Another G. Vernier FV 3 TO mill

It's kinda done. Not entirely but it is functional.
Some chips. 16mm carbide end mill over mild steel block. Second picture is taking cut around 1" deep, I had some chatter there, not sure where it's coming from but not the head. Is 1" too deep for a single pass on vertical? Either way the mill is definitely capable.

depending on feedrate, id say 1" DOC is probably pushing the limits, definitely of your workholding I would not be surprised to see chatter. On my BP i would well and truly be wrecking things by that point.
